During my DPhil in Biology (2021-2025), I also worked as a department demonstrator and tutor for undergraduate students and worked in various outreach teaching roles. I am currently completing a PGCE and teacher training in secondary physics with OTT SCITT (due 01 July 2026), teaching Sciences across Key Stages 3-5 — with a specialised focus on Physics at Key Stage 5 — four days a week across two local state secondary schools.
Why I tutor: Through my current teaching in secondary schools, I have observed a distinct gap between the standard school-based curriculum and the academic stimulation required by highly able pupils. Drawing on my own Oxford DPhil background, I am passionate about moving students beyond the standard curriculum and introducing them to university-style learning — fostering the critical thinking and independent study skills they need to thrive at university level.
