University College London (UCL) is London's leading multidisciplinary university and a founding member of the Russell Group. It offers exceptional breadth across arts, sciences, law, medicine, engineering, architecture, and social sciences — making it the most comprehensive London university.

UCL receives more applications than any other UK university (over 90,000 annually) for around 6,000 undergraduate places, making it one of the most competitive in the country. Yes, UCL is the largest constituent college of the University of London, but it awards its own degrees and operates independently.
Does UCL interview?
Most courses do not interview. Medicine, Architecture (Bartlett), and some arts/design programmes are the main exceptions.
How competitive is UCL?
UCL receives the most applications of any UK university (~91,000), but the number of places is also large (~6,000). Competition varies dramatically by course — check specific courses for accurate offer rates.
Can I apply to UCL and Oxbridge?
