コレッジの選択は戦術的に使用すべきではありません。Oxfordは競争のバランスをとるために再配置とオープンオファーの仕組みを使用します。Medicineでは、コレッジの選択は候補者選考後に考慮され、多くのオファーは志願者の最初の希望や割り当て以外のコレッジによって出されます。
志願者はChemistryと、Biology・Physics・Mathematics・Further Mathematicsのうち少なくとも一つが必要です。OxfordはBiology・Physics・Mathematics・Further Mathematicsのさらなる科目を推奨しています。Biologyは志願者の間で一般的ですが、別の記載された理科/数学科目が要件を満たす場合は必須ではありません。
海外からの志願者は同じ学術的・UCAT要件を満たしますが、英語要件とビザ要件も満たさなければなりません。Medicineには上限のある国際授業料ステータスの定員があるため、国際的な競争は構造的により厳しくなっています。
有益な準備は科学的な深さ・医療に関する反省的な洞察・コミュニケーションを組み合わせます。生物医学研究の読書・反省を伴うボランティアや介護・臨床統計の学習・医療倫理の探求・科学を明確に説明することが強力な例として挙げられます。
